SEPALink converts your existing payment files into SEPA compliant files for direct debits and credits.

If you don’t create a payments file currently, SEPALink has a user interface for you.

How does SEPALink work?

• SEPALink fits conveniently into your existing e-payment processes & utilises your existing software systems.
  • You prepare your Standard-18 file format payment as normal (the current industry standard in Ireland and UK).
  • You then use SEPALink to convert this file into SEPA format
  • You then send the SEPA format file to your bank in the normal way
• SEPALink validates account numbers/sort codes and then converts them to IBANs/BICs
• SEPALink adds your Creditor Identifier to the SEPA File. This is assigned by your bank and you will receive it before they schedule your SEPA switch.
• SEPALink inserts UMRs into direct debit instructions for SEPA compliance. UMR stands for the Unique Mandate Reference and is new for SEPA. SEPALink can manage your UMRs for you and assign them to each new account found. You have the option of managing your own UMRs by uploading them in a simple file format if desired.
• Direct Debits being submitted in SEPA format for the first time, have a First code assigned to the transaction to notify your bank that this is a new Direct Debit rather than a recurrence of an existing one.
• For added security, SEPALink never retains any of your transactional information.
• SEPALink keeps you fully informed of progress and provides meaningful data error reports as appropriate for easy fixing.
• If you don’t currently produce the Standard-18 format or if you don’t produce payment files Celtrino have additional services available.
• There are also services available if you deal with banks outside of Ireland or if you need help with your Direct Debit mandate management.
